Musa Manzini was a veteran South African singer. The jazz guitarist made waves in 2018 by gently playing his guitar during a rare “awake” six-hour operation to remove a brain tumor. Although people normally stay awake during a craniotomy, it was heartwarming that Manzini got to do what he loves best during the critical surgery.
